  29. { Each end of the SCSI bus should be terminated. If you took the termination off
  30. { the card then the ZIP should have the termination switch turned on and the
  31. { Quantum should be terminated.

  33.      Yes and no; My ZIP does have the termination switch turned on
  34.      (system won't boot otherwise, of course), but the packs are taken
  35.      out of my Quantum because it is the only internal device *and* it is
  36.      attached via the 3cm internal cable. That is the only exception to
  37.      the SCSI rule (it's not some strange GVP thing). Booting my system
  38.      with the packs in the drive results in a hung system w/ black
  39.      screen.

  41.      Normally, however, you are correct - each end should be terminated -
  42.      if the internal cable is longer than 3cm and/or you have more than
  43.      one internal device.
